Lowering Triglycerides

To lower triglycerides, DHA is the necessary component of Omega 3.  DHA stands for docosahexaenoic acid, a term too long and technical to use.  Accepted practice uses the acronym of DHA to describe this fatty acid.

DHA is the portion of omega-3 vitamins that actively works to lower triglycerides.  Exactly how it works is too technical to describe here, however, Dr. Scott Doughman would be happy to answer your questions.  Please email him at scott@source-omega.com.

DHA is able to be effective for lowering high triglyceride levels by up to 29% when the intake of DHA is greater than 1000 mg DHA daily.

PURE ONETM is the best Omega-3 vitamin to reduce triglyceride levels.  As an algae based oil, DHA is controlled to produce the optimal dosage of DHA for the most effective results.  Fish oil is more difficult to guarantee consistent results due to fish used that may vary.  With algae oil, it is easier to ensure proper levels because algae oil is consistent batch to batch.

WE GUARANTEE THAT WITH THE PROPER DOSAGE PURE ONE WILL REDUCE TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS WITHIN 3 MONTHS.

DOCTOR DEVELOPED, DOCTOR RECOMMENDED
Pure One therapy is designed to match human omega-3 metabolism needs and is suitable as a co-therapy, with or without statins.*

Numerous Studies have been conducted that prove that at the efficacy of Omega-3.  We have included a summary of these studies below.

  1. There have been 16 human clinical studies that consistently report high-dose DHA intake helps significantly lowers high triglyceride levels [1,2]. Considered appropriate for real help with fasting triglycerides, postprandial (post meal levels) triglycerides and triglycerides associated with diabetic dyslipidemias.

  2. Published clinical studies show beneficial effects of DHA-rich algae oil for cardiovascular risk prevention in healthy men and women (Sanders et al., 2006) with significant decreases in plasma triglyceride levels (Geppert et al., 2006). Results are comparable to fish oil in effects, bioavailability and safety profiles (Lloyd-Still et al., 2006).

  3. In direct studies, algae oil cardio-protective effects were equal or better than fish oil for improved cardiovascular risk factors by lowering plasma triglycerides and levels of oxidative stress (Mori et al., 2003; Stark et al., 2004; Erkkila et al., 2006; Wu et al., 2006; Doughman, et al., 2007).
